An excerpt from British secret files on Nigeria’s first bloody coup…
Call him “Common Sense Senator”, “Twitter Senator” or something else (nice we hope) but PDP Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce knows how to get people’s attentio. This is not surprising, he is an entertainment mogul in Nigeria after all.
He has encouraged foreigners to apply for Visa on arrival at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos (at least, we think so because why would a Nigerian want to apply for Visa on arrival?).
Why is he doing this?
Well, he and other members of the Senate Committee on Aviation are in Lagos on oversight duties and one of the things they were told is that visa on arrival applications are treated within 24 hours by the Nigerian Immigration Service. Being the “Common Sense Senator” what better way to test it than to throw it open on Twitter? So, please apply to ao@Nigeriaimmigration.gov.ng and let Senator Murray-Bruce know if this piece of information is factual.

At the Visa on arrival section of @LOSairport. They claim applications are treated < 24hrs via email. Some1 apply NOW & give me feedback. pic.twitter.com/EaF3eWkTwa

“We just want to make common sense” like the senator would say.
