Is Hauwa Maina Dead? Sadly, Yes

News breaking on social media indicates that Kannywood actress, Hauwa Maina has died of an undisclosed illness at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano.

A Facebook user,  Muhsin Ibrahim reacting to the issue posted:

“Yet another great loss to Kannywood. May Allah forgive the shortcomings of the veteran actress, Haj. Hauwa Maina, amin.

“Saratu Giɗaɗo (Daso), Booth[sic] (the Mother) and the deceased are almost the only elderly women who feature, seamlessly, in both English and Hausa films. She’ll surely be missed.”

Some of the movies she featured in include: Halin Mutum Jarinsa,
Jaraba, Namijin Duniya, There’s a Way 2016, Dawo Dawo.

She is expected to be buried this Thursday.
